近年の話題作、ヒット作はもちろん、日本映画の歴史を代表する、黒澤明監督、小津安二郎監督、木下恵介監督、山田洋次監督などの名匠による作品や、石原裕次郎、高倉健、吉永小百合などの大スターの作品も続々とHuluでご覧いただけるようになります。
本日は、6社からの第一弾の契約作品をいくつかご紹介します。
土屋アンナが主演をつとめ、写真家の蜷川実花が初監督をした、「さくらん」は安野モヨコの漫画の映画化です。江戸時代の吉原遊郭を舞台に、着物衣装や映像美を楽しめる作品です。椎名林檎が担当した音楽もカラフルな映像に華を添えます。
ご家族やお子様にお楽しみいただける人気ヒーロー「仮面ライダー」がついにHuluに登場です。今回、複数の「仮面ライダー」の映画シリーズがHuluでご覧いただけるようになりましたが、仮面ライダー電王3部作のファイナルとなる「劇場版　さらば仮面ライダー電王　ファイナル・カウントダウン」、迫力の戦闘シーンが満載です。



歴史ファンの方には、「男たちの大和／YAMATO」などいかがでしょうか？辺見じゅん著作のノン・フィクション『決定版 男たちの大和』を原作に、終戦60周年を記念して制作された戦争映画です。昭和20年4月に3000人もの乗組員とともに東シナ海に散った戦艦大和を描いた同作は、2005年の日本映画の興行収入ランキング第１位を記録した話題作です。

New Partnerships with 6 Major Japanese Film Distributors

We are happy to announce new content partnerships with six major Japanese film distributors, which significantly adds to our growing lineup of local content. Our new partners are as follows:

Kadokawa Pictures Co., Lte.
Shochiku Co., Ltd.
Toei Company, Ltd.
Nikkatsu Corporation
AMG Entertainment
We are thrilled to be working with these Japanese studios and are excited by the wide variety of films that Hulu subscribers will now be able to enjoy.
The films we are adding to the service range from recent, hit movies to Japanese cinema classics, such as movies directed by Akira Kurosawa, Yasujiro Ozu, Keisuke Kinoshita, and Yoji Yamada. Films starring big-time movie stars including Yujiro Ishihara, Ken Takakura and Sayuri Yoshinaga are now available on Hulu.
In the coming weeks, we will be adding hundreds of new titles to the Hulu service from these six studios. Today, we would like to introduce some of our favorite films from these partners that are immediately available on Hulu.
“Sakuran” is a beautiful movie directed by female photographer, Mika Ninagawa, and featuring actress/model/singer Anna Tsuchiya dressed in Kimono in the Yoshiwara red light district during the Edo era.
Recommended for families and kids of all ages, “Kamen Rider” is the story of a Japanese Hero. There will be several Kamen Rider movies available on Hulu, including “Farewell, Kamen Rider Den-O The Movie: Final Countdown”, the final of the Kamen Rider Den-O Trilogy and full of exciting battle scenes.
Are you a history lover? “Yamato” is a film based on the non-fiction novel by Jun Henmi about the battleship Yamato and its 3,000 person crew, which capsized in the East China Sea in 1945. This movie ranked number 1 box office for the 2005.
